Naturally-Sweetened Crispy Rice Treats
These vegan crispy rice treats are naturally sweetened with maple syrup, making them a healthier alternative to the classic version. They're perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth while still enjoying a guilt-free snack.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Put the crispy rice cereal and salt in a large bowl and mix them together
Melt the coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond butter in a saucepan over medium heat
Stir the mixture until it is smooth and well combined
Add the melted mixture to the crispy rice cereal and mix it around so that it's all covered
You can use a spatula or your hands to firmly pack the mixture into a 9x9-inch baking dish that has been lined with parchment paper
Put it in the fridge for at least an hour to set
Cut it into bars or squares when it's done and serve
