White Wine Lemon-Caper Sauce Stirfry



The flavors of white wine, lemon, and capers are combined with your choice of protein and vegetables to create this tasty and zesty White Wine Lemon-Caper Sauce Stirfry. This is a really simple stir-fry that's ideal for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound of your choice of protein chicken, shrimp, tofu
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat

Add your choice of protein and cook until browned and cooked through

Remove from skillet and set aside

In the same skillet, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic

Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften

Pour in white wine, lemon juice, and lemon zest

Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce the sauce slightly

Return the cooked protein to the skillet and add capers

Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes to heat everything through

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley
